I met Adam Adler almost 8 years ago at the Sharing the Voices Conference in St. John's, Newfoundland. He's a fixture at the traditional singing session I run there during the conference, and we've become great friends. Now, finally, we have a chance to combine our respective choirs and perform together.
On February 4th, at 7:30 pm, at St. John the Divine in North Bay, the Ottawa Celtic Choir and the Near North Voices Choirs will offer a joint concert as part of the Nipissing University Choral Concert Series. We're planning a great concert of Celtic and Canadian music, with lots of audience participation. We're really excited to perform in North Bay, and we're looking forward to the concert!

Welcome to the new website!
Hi All! Welcome to the new blog site for the Ottawa Celtic Choir! One of my resolutions this year is to try and update the choir website more often, with news of our concerts, friends and general goings-on.
The choir has had a pretty good year so far, performing at the Irish Language Conference: Research and Teaching of the Irish Language in North America, and at the Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann Ceili in December here in Ottawa.
Coming up is a concert at Nipissing University, North Bay on February 4th, 2012, and a concert here in Ottawa as part of Irish week 2012. Stay tuned for more details!
